Im working on a cisco mds 9148 trying to do a password recovery to remove the old config. I followed the steps on the cisco website went into switch(boot) mode did a admin-password "password", did load ios.bin. It booted and i still see User Access Verification lpo-9148-2 login: Is there a default admin login? Or a way to bypass the startup config?
did you get that figured out, i used to have to reset those all the time. you can find the procedure on the cisco website, but it short here it is 1 console to the device 2 the the console reads loading software, which is a few pages of text into the boot sequence press ( ctrl + [ ) then it will boot like linux into single user mode 3 once there you can config t, write erase, and reboot to the configuration dialog. heres that link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/ ... 58c3.shtml cheers
