Compared to the original plan that included the adoption of Lubuntu has chosen to use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which as you know has a support for five years and then until 2017. In my opinion this change distro will be problematic as Lubuntu would offer (as it was in the initial intentions) a greater audience of machines resuscitabili well as a user experience similar to that of Windows kent beverage XP.
